The statements contained in the Relationship Inventory, as well as the Counseling Insights accessible on the website, are the results of over 30 years of counseling experience and input provided by hundreds of couples, chaplains, counselors and clergy. When an individual requests access to and completes a Relationship Inventory, he or she will receive an Email that encourages users to seek professional help from a counselor, chaplain, therapist or member of the clergy in the event they are unable to resolve certain issues that the computer program identified as "potentially problematic." If they are hesitant to seek this help, but would still like assistance in resolving certain problems, they are then invited to subscribe to the Counseling Insights provided on our webpage. |

If you would like to use the Relationship Inventory in your work with military personnel, law enforcement officers, and their loved ones, we invite you to: 1) Complete the form below that will grant you access to the Counseling Insights without charge; and 2) Send any comments (i.e., additions, corrections or deletions) to support@plaintec.net that you feel would improve this program. Please note that not all recommendations may be accepted and incorporated into the program. For example, one counselor disagreed with the advice provided in regard to adultery. The counselor recommended that partners should always confess to being unfaithful in keeping with the dictum, "Honesty is the best policy." Because we believe there can be circumstances in which it might be wiser not to reveal an unfaithful relationship, we chose not to alter the advice provided in this regard. If input provided by a professional is not accepted, we will always explain our reasons for not making a recommended addition, deletion or change. |
