We would not disagree about a parent or other family member living with us if the need were to arise.

 

When a parent is a widow or widower, circumstances may develop wherein he or she should no longer live alone.  While some parents may prefer moving to a retirement home rather than moving in with one of their children, financial and other conditions may exist that preclude such a move. 

If the physical condition of one of your parent’s were to require full-time nursing care, would he or she be able to assume the high costs involved in moving into a nursing home?  Would you be willing to have a parent live with you if the need arose?  The way a couple cares for their parents is often the way their own children will treat them when they are older.
